From sun to rain – Team Cirrus arrive in Canada
Following disappointment in California, the team arrived in Ontario, Canada to prepare for the second record attempt jump.
This second jump will be from a balloon. Flying a balloon to the planned altitude – over 40,000 feet – presents unique challenges and pilots experienced in taking a balloon to high altitude. The team at Sundance Balloons provide exactly this. Having already made flights to this altitude the team have the expertise and equipment that Fraser needs.
Yet again, however, the weather is against us. To fly and recover a balloon safely requires clear, settled conditions from ground level right up to high altitude. What we’re currently seeing are low pressure systems bringing wind and rain – which could prevent the balloon from launching at all.
